The first test I did with podosiri ink was still in Suriname, where I combined podosiri with eggs and used a lino cut to print
The photograph is printed onto a transparent sheet and placed on top of the photopolymer plate inside a light box
By heating the podosiri, some of the water evaporates, making the fluid thicker and darker
The podosiri changes color when heated

Ink tests with different additives that influence the podosiri's pH value
An overview of testing with different greasy substances (to create an ink) and different additives that change the pH value of the podosiri and, therefore, it's colour
Arabic gum is a way to turn a pigment into an ink. When used with podosiri, it resulted in some loss of colour
With different inks, all made from podosiri, I did the first tests for etching
Applying the podosiri ink onto a photopolymer plate
The paper and the etching plate have to go through the press quickly because the podosiri ink is sticky
